Yggdrassil, the Great World Tree.
The tree of Yggdrassil is the tree holding all the realms. It is the one tree binding all the 9 realms. When Ragnarök arrives, Nidhogg the dragon will bite through one of the deep roots of the tree.
Asgard: The home of the Aesir gods.
Midgard: The home of man.
Utgard: The home of the demons, or jætter.
Vanaheim: The home of the Vanir gods.
Alfheim: The home of the elves.
Svartalfheim: The home of the black elves and dwarves.
Jotunheim: The home of giants.
Niflheim: One of the first realms, the realm of ice, frost and fog.
Muspelheim: The other first realm, the realm of fire, earth and flame.
