Net neutrality — in America — is it worth spending so much on High-Speed Internet ‽

Does it make sense to go back to college just for the High-Speed internet? I wanna save some money.

Hmm … First of all. An ISP’s first — and only task imo — is to make certain, my connection — for which I paid — to the Internet works. And keeps working!

After all that’s what I’m paying them for. I.e. I’m not buying information from them, though they could offer such extra “ premium ” services with nsa (other than the physical cabling required to provide their carrying service), if they like? *sarcasm intended*

If I want an “ information service, ” then there literally are a plethora of options to choose from. Of which wikipedia is a very prominent one, and perhaps even better: it’s free! 😉

An ISP, is akin to what my router at home is. A carrier, connector, or bridge from one barrier to the next. As such defined, it becomes nothing more than a common carrier. All extras they provide, or could provide their customers with, are extras, and should be treated as such. As up to the consumer’s discretion to use, or not to use.

Let’s stay focussed on keeping the virtual roads clear from clutter, instead of trying to pretend to innovate.

Anyway!

To answer the question: No it doesn’t make sense to go back to college, just for the High-Speed Internet. I want to save money, through innovation. 😉
