OK SO first of Corteztrolls made a REALLY GOOD TUTORIAL on destroying same face a little while ago but ill just go over the bare bones basics
basically the thing you gotta remember is
Shapes are your friends. Everything is made out of simple shapes, so try experimenting a bit with them.
Generally, squares and circles are more “honest” shapes, whereas triangles and harder angles are more sinister looking, and better for villainous faces.
Though of course this is not an unbreakable law.
Try playing around with different shapes other than just circles/squares/triangles too.
A lot of the time, a character with a certain face shape will also have features of that same shape, like a very boxy face will have boxy features.
Dont limit yourself to just that though, try lots of different things and dont be afraid to push the limit.
Even if a character has the same facial shape, that doesnt mean theyll look exactly alike.
The length/width/placement of features has just as much to do with drawing individual faces as shape does.
Also remember that the way a character expresses themselves also will change how they look slightly.
Id write more about different expressions but thats a wHOLE other post.
Its 5:30 AM as I am writing this and im hardcore passing out so its probably really shitty but i hope this helps at least a little bit.
You should probably read Cortez’ tutorial that I linked to at the beginning, since it goes way more in depth about different face shapes and things and is probably a lot more helpful than this.
