Elves, and Dwarves.

The #elves, which #inspired #Tolkien to write #characters like #Legolas, and #Thandruil — come from the #old #Norse #Religion. They lived in #Alvheim, the residency of Frøy — the god of #fertility. The old tales tell of two races of elves: light elves, and dark elves. The #dark elves lived #underground, and could often be #mistaken for #dwarves, while the light elves were more fair than the #sun, and lived in #gold #halls of Alvheim. There are no mentions of them taking part in the coming #Ragnarok, and very few sources speak of them as #warriors. A way of #protecting oneself against dark elves was to use the #pentagram, which in #Scandinavia is also called: “ #elfcross, ” or “ #witchlock. ” You can still find old buildings here — with pentagrams carved into the wood. Light elves are #demigods, and often associated with the gods of #Åsgard, but therehave been many accounts of elves having children with humans. Anyone who can prove ancestry from the #ancient #royal #lines of #Bohuslän in #Sweden, and #Vingulmark, in #Norway, can claim to have #elfblood in their #veins. One of the more famous half elf kings was #Gandalv Alvgeirsson — who lost his kingdom to #Harald Hårfagre, the first king of Norway.
Where to find them:
Alvheim, or if you don’t have the time to travel — through #realms — you might find some #descendants in Norway, and Sweden.
How to survive:
Use the #pentagram
