Trolls, and Jotner.
#Trolls, and #Jotner are very #different. While Trolls are ugly, stupid, #man-eating #monsters, Jotner are #wise giants, with the #strength to #rival the #gods. #Thor is their main rival, and #Odin’s #blood-brother #Loke is one of them. The Jotne #princess #Skade was so beautiful — she could choose a husband among the gods. She chose #Njord — #father of #Frøy, and #Frøya — becoming the #goddess of #hunting. Trolls are easier to defeat, because they are so easy to trick, but they are not to be underestimated. Trolls are extremely ugly, and can have as many as nine heads, come in all shapes, and sizes, and are known to eat #human #flesh. Their king is #Dovegrubben, who rules from inside the mountain of #Dovre. Trolls gather #riches inside the mountains, and often kidnap #young-maidens who are never seen again. They have #bears as #pets, can smell the #blood of #Christian men, and turn to #stone if touched by #sunlight.
Where to find them:
Both mostly live in the Norwegian mountains; trolls in the mountain of Dovre, and inside #Trollveggen, and jotner in #jotunheimen.
How to survive:
#Best a #jotne in #combat, and #outwit a #troll. Oh, and be an #atheist.
