How much would you pay to go to the moon?
As the Moon moves farther away from the Earth, the rotational speed of the Earth actually decreases, causing it to spin slower over long periods of time. This phenomenon is due to tidal interactions between the Earth and the Moon, which transfer angular momentum from the Earth’s rotation to the Moon’s orbit. Therefore, in the long term, the Earth is expected to spin slower as the Moon gradually drifts away.
In practice this mean our current days will become longer by less than 2 millisecond per century (that’s 20 seconds per 10,000 years!). So for those who hope to seize the day by gaining more hours to play. You might just want to focus on seizing the day first! 😉
I.e. there will be plenty of time to catch a flight to the moon, as the moon is trying to run but isn’t getting far right now. 😂😏😉
